With full-time charm and part-time wit, Heart Sauce pour nostalgia into the everyday creating what they fondly call life music. Formed in Leicester in 2022, their sound moves effortlessly between dreamy crooner ballads and cosmic disco moments,  balancing quiet reflection with burst of chaotic energy.

Recently, Heart Sauce have been making waves on the live circuit, joining exciting artists such as Hard Life, Mouth Culture, and Taylor Olin - building a reputation for their infectious energy and heartfelt performances.

Now, after coming into their own, Heart Sauce are stepping into 2026 with new sounds, bigger moments, and a wave of releases on the horizon. Heart Sauce is Ellis Turner on vocals and guitar, Dan Peel on guitar and keys, Brogan Finnigan on bass and vocals, and Euan Fisher on drums.

Their latest single ‘How Many Tears Does the Human Race Cry in a Year?’ is out now.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO MUSIC?

Being super young and seeing films like School of Rock, playing Guitar Hero, listening to your parents records in the car. Those were the magical times. Look back and giggle at some of the song choices but they shaped a lot for what was to come. Euan our drummer has been a kinda super fan of Modest Mouse since he was in nappies so naturally his love for them has rubbed off on us.

WHO WERE YOUR MUSIC INFLUENCES GROWING UP?

I think a BIG musical turning point was properly absorbing the beauty that is The Beach Boys. Hearing ‘Pet Sounds’ for the first time and thinking ‘where has this been all my life?’. It’s one of the greats for all the right reasons. Suddenly you’d get transported from rainy, grey Leicester to California beaches. Summer optimism.

WHAT SONG REMINDS YOU OF HOME?

It’s like the perfect blend of nostalgia and looking forward.

Right Back Where We Started From — Maxine Nightingale

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND?

Ever expanding, like the Universe

WHAT TRACK HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO LATELY?

So much! But let’s go with this one. The harmonies, chords, just overall mood of the song is amazing. Great bit of music.

Nobody Knows — Pastor T.L Barret

WHAT IS AN UNDERRATED SONG THAT MORE PEOPLE SHOULD HEAR?

Cut Worms doesn’t get the love he deserves. We saw him in Birmingham a couple years ago after being fans for a while. Kinda starstruck he was 2 metres in front of us singing songs we love dearly. It’s real ‘sitting on the porch’ on a summers day vibes. He’s great.

WHAT'S A SONG YOU WISH YOU HAD WRITTEN?

Heart Sauce Logo (1).png

Oooooo now you’re asking! There’s just so many. But I think ‘everybody wants to rule the world’ is one of those ‘life songs’ that every time you come back to, wherever you are in life, just always hits. We try and sprinkle some of that ‘life music’ element into our songs.

WHAT TRACK CAPTURES YOUR MOOD ON TOUR?

I mean lyrically the name pretty much sums it up - Crazy Train. Plus it was a lyric that we couldn’t stop singing throughout the tour we went on last October. It’s a good honest rock song.

Ozzy Osbourne — Crazy Train

WHAT'S YOUR GO TO TRACK FOR GETTING IN THE ZONE PRE-SHOW?

That chorus just pumps! And when you think it couldn’t get any better, than piano at the end. Life changingly good stuff. But yeah, ideal for getting in the zone.

ABBA — Chiquitita

IF YOUR MUSIC WAS A SOUNDTRACK - WHAT FILM WOULD IT BE?

Somewhere between a cowboy comedy and an existential space exploration.

Heart Sauce — Richard Swingin’ Competition

NEW LISTENERS - WHICH TRACK SHOULD THEY HEAR FIRST?

It’s a great entry point for someone discovering the band. It has pretty much all the ingredients spread across the heart sauce board in one. It’s a fun little number to play live and the message I think resonates with people

Heart Sauce — It’ll Probably Be Fine

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE SONG YOU'VE WRITTEN?

This is a super special song. It feels like our most delicate yet our ‘heaviest’ song we’ve written. Plus it’s our latest single which we’re very, very excited to share with people!
